In 1976, Lehni began manufacturing a new type of picture frame designed by Rudolf Lehni. Today, the Removable Frame is one of the most widely used products in the collection. This simple frame is used in opening events, exhibitions, galleries, and private collections in Switzerland and all over the world. Finely bent chrome-nickel steel strips (available in powder-coated white, black or polished chrome-nickel steel) unobtrusively surround the glass on all sides and protect the contents from dust and humidity. The frame is fitted with a picture glass made of 3 mm standard glass (acrylic or low-reflection glass or mirror on request) and a Pavatex back panel. It is available in 14 standard formats from A4 to F4 (special formats on request).
