Frédéric Dedelley

For his own designs, Dedelley combines simplicity and functionality with irony and playfulness. Sensuality despite reduction can be found in small details. Thus, due to positioning the hinges on the side panels, the wardrobe “Haïku” opens its doors with a grand gesture, proudly presenting the contents to its owner every morning.

Born 1964 in Fribourg, education as product designer at ECAL Lausanne and at the Art Center College of Design La Tour-de-Peilz. Since 1995 own studio for product and interior design in Zurich. Various exhibitions, publications and awards, e.g. the „Max Bill – Georges Vontongerloo foundation“ award, Zumikon. Until 2008 professorship at FHNW/HGK Basel for interior architecture and scenography.
